Oak Plumbing recently completed a water service replacement project in the city of Vallejo in Solano County involving the replacement of the water service line from the property water meter to the home's riser, a job that typically takes 2 to 4 days to complete. Our experienced local team, however, completed it in just one day, minimizing disruption to the homeowners.
The Project in Detail
Our team began with digging a trench from the property water meter to the home's riser to create a pathway for the new water line. Creating the trench involved cutting through concrete and utilize a large trenching machine to dig the trench. Due to our team's extensive experience, this step was able to be completed swiftly and efficiently.
Following the trenching, we removed the existing water main and installed a new line. Additionally, we installed a new Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV) to ensure consistent water pressure, a new water main shut-off valve for easy control and maintenance, and a grounding rod and wire to properly ground the new water line.
